Powered by the Intel® Atom® X7405C "Amston Lake" processor with a base frequency of 2.2 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 3.4 GHz, the 5200 delivers a significant performance leap over previous-generation desktop appliances. The turbo capability ensures the 5200 can handle sustained bursts of demanding traffic, including Threat Detection and Prevention, VPN encryption, and content filtering, without compromising throughput.
The 5200 comes equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 4800 MT/s, making it an ideal platform for running multiple security packages simultaneously without resource contention or performance degradation. A 128GB NVMe M.2 SSD provides fast, reliable storage for extensive logging, package data, and configuration.
Connectivity is provided through four independent 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports and one dedicated 1 Gbps Ethernet port, giving administrators flexible options for WAN, LAN, DMZ, and management interface assignments. Each port is independently configurable, supporting single or dual WAN, high availability, WAN failover, and complex multi-segment network architectures.
Like all Netgate appliances, the 5200 ships with pfSense Plus software and Netgate Nexus pre-installed and ready to deploy. Complimentary software updates for the life of the product and 24x7 zero-to-ping Technical Assistance from Netgate Global Technical Assistance Center are included with every purchase.
